Podcasts Podcasts involve people interviewing people and talking about different things. These are my favorite podcasts. Your mileage may vary. I am picky about voices and if a voice doesn't vibe, I can't really listen, no matter how great the topic or how skilled the interviewer or how fascinating the interviewee. These are in no particular order. I'll give a little synopsis of why I like the podcast. Please take what works for you and leave the rest, as always!
Finding Our Way - Prentis Hemphill Finding Our Way is a podcast hosted by writer, healer, teacher, and Somatics practitioner, Prentis Hemphill. Prentis dives into topics of embodiment, boundaries, harm, creativity, and more with people who are working to reshape this world. I love this podcast to get to hear from Black and Brown visionaries. https://open.spotify.com/show/3uuNl7k4lUjk9UaSkjvf4W?si=1b2ef0e06ce44b40
We can do hard things - Glennon Doyle Glennon talks with her sister Amanda and wife Abby about various topics including boundaries, sex, pleasure, fun, etc. Comes out twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Highly recommend the episodes with Emily Nagoski for information about women's bodies and pleasure. open.spotify.com/show/0eFL5HJejQHZrdgAFdPnOm?si=5894a357715a43a2
Bad in Bed - Queer Sex Ed - Gabrielle Kassel and Bobby Box Gabrielle and Bobby (sex educators) talk about sex positive topics and help educate us about lots of things folks don't feel comfortable talking about, particularly from a queer lens. I have a hard time with voices in this one but the topics are worth it. NOT PG or suitable for work. open.spotify.com/show/2uCYRBaqVylnnQX5qv9M08?si=18312e63dd434bc2
Am I Broken - Survivor Stories - Papillon DeBoer Therapist Papillon interviews survivors of sexual abuse. These are hard to listen to but sometimes extremely helpful to help you see that you (survivor working through your sexual trauma history in therapy with me) ARE NOT ALONE. Talk to me if you are wondering if this is a good idea for you to listen to. For myself, I only listened to one and I'm in one of the podcasts, so I'm only putting it here in case it is helpful to others. (NOT PG and not suitable for work or even every adult). https://open.spotify.com/show/4eTLBheM205XmgwmXIMxG7?si=e94f3bcbd6214dcf
Queer Sex Ed- Sara and Jay Sara and Jay (sex educators) explore topics in sex health, relationships, queer identities, BDSM, kink, sexuality and more. Lots of older episodes with great info. Nothing new since January 2020. NOT PG or suitable for work. open.spotify.com/show/2tyRvrTFH5g1xiGCswHg46?si=ccace6d387a74061
